The Turbo Technics S290 turbo is designed, developed and manufactured specifically for use with a built 1.6L ST Ecoboost engine.

It is strongly advised against using this with a stock engine as this turbocharger provides power levels beyond what the stock engine/head can support. For applications using a forged/built engine with head modifications (cams, springs & port work) 380-450+WHP is expected. Although the S290 can be used with a stock engine/head, the S280 is for stock engine applications, as it will spool quicker and can safely produce power levels that exceed the stock engine's limits.

Unlike the Turbo Technics S280, the S290 also features a proprietary uprated wastegate, it's adjustable and capable of boost pressures suitable for the turbochargers output.

Direct fit with included fitting kit for a straightforward installation (note: engine needs shaved down to suit). Fitting kit includes upgraded intake and boost hoses, upgraded 'hot-side' boost pipe, remote DV mount, replacement water lines, clips, fittings, gaskets, and exhaust studs and nuts.
