Returns & Refunds
Returns are accepted only for standard stocked goods and must be authorised in advance. To request a return, email support@rivalperformance.co.uk with your order number and reason for return before sending any items back.
Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery and meet all of the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, unfitted, and unmarked, showing no signs of installation or handling.
- The item must be returned in its original, undamaged packaging with all labels, accessories, and documentation included.
- Authorised returns only - goods sent back without prior written approval may be refused or returned at the customer’s expense.
Any item that has been fitted, trial-fitted, used, modified, or shows evidence of installation (including tool marks, grease, or residue) is considered accepted by the customer and is strictly non-returnable, regardless of when the return request is made.
The following goods are non-returnable under all circumstances unless proven faulty or incorrectly supplied by Rival Performance:
- Custom-made, bespoke, or colour-customised items
- Special-order goods sourced specifically on request
- Electrical or electronic components once unsealed or installed
- Fluids, oils, lubricants, or consumables
Returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until received and inspected by Rival Performance.
We strongly recommend using a tracked and fully insured courier service, as lost, damaged, or untracked returns cannot be refunded or replaced.
All returned items are carefully inspected upon arrival. Once inspection is complete, you’ll be notified whether your refund has been approved or rejected.
Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days and issued only to the original payment method used at checkout. Refunds cannot be redirected to alternative accounts, payment platforms, or issued in cash under any circumstances.
For non-faulty goods, refunds are issued minus any applicable restocking charge and non-refundable payment processing fees (typically 2.2% for card payments, 5% for Klarna, and 6% for ShopPay).
Delivery and return postage costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a verified fault or error by Rival Performance.
If goods are found to be defective, damaged in transit, or incorrectly supplied, a full refund or replacement will be issued once confirmed by our inspection. Rival Performance reserves the right to repair or replace items before issuing a refund where appropriate.
If your approved refund has not appeared within 10 working days, please contact support@rivalperformance.co.uk quoting your order number for confirmation.
Refunds are final once processed and cannot be reissued, reversed, or converted to store credit unless expressly agreed in writing by Rival Performance.
Orders may be cancelled only if they have not entered processing. “Processing” includes any stage of order preparation, stock allocation, supplier ordering, packaging, or dispatch scheduling.
Once an order has entered processing in any form, it is considered committed and non-cancellable, even if the website or order status has not yet updated.
Custom, made-to-order, and special-order items are non-cancellable once supplier processing or production has started.
Cancellation requests received within 24 hours of placing an order may be approved only if processing has not begun. After this period, administrative or supplier handling fees will apply to any refund.
Rival Performance reserves the right to cancel any order at its discretion, including (but not limited to) cases involving stock shortages, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. Where Rival Performance initiates a cancellation, a full refund or credit note will be issued.
If you believe an item is faulty, you must contact us in writing before returning it. Email support@rivalperformance.co.uk with your order number, a clear description of the issue, and supporting evidence such as photos, videos, or diagnostic information. Unauthorised warranty returns may be refused.
All warranty claims are subject to supplier or manufacturer inspection, assessment, and approval. Rival Performance acts as an intermediary and cannot approve or reject claims until the relevant brand or supplier has reviewed the case.
Warranty coverage, duration, and terms vary between brands and products — not all items are covered by a manufacturer warranty.
If a warranty claim is accepted, the outcome will depend on the supplier’s policy and may result in repair, replacement, or credit, at their discretion. Decisions made by the supplier or manufacturer are final and binding.
Warranty does not cover the following:
- Normal wear and tear or age-related degradation
- Improper installation, misuse, abuse, or neglect
- Damage caused by accident, racing, or excessive heat/load
- Modification, tuning, or use with unapproved aftermarket components
- Labour, fitting, removal, or diagnostic costs
Warranty will be void immediately if the item has been modified, tampered with, or used outside of its intended application, or if any unauthorised repair or adjustment has been made.
In all cases, Rival Performance will liaise with the supplier to determine the best possible resolution, but we cannot override manufacturer decisions.
