RacingLine Upgraded Boost Pipe Kit - Volkswagen Golf GTI MK8
The RacingLine Upgraded Boost Pipe Kit is a direct replacement for the soft rubber charge pipes fitted to the latest Generation 4 2.0 TSI EA888.4 engines. The factory hoses are designed to cope with standard boost levels, but on tuned cars running higher pressures and temperatures, they can flex, distort and even collapse under load.
This three-piece silicone kit solves that problem with reinforced, smooth-flowing replacements built to handle far more than the turbo can throw at them.

The Silicone Boost Hose Kit is a simple, effective hardware upgrade that addresses a known weak point on tuned EA888.4 engines and helps the turbocharger deliver boost more cleanly and reliably.
What the kit does - The kit replaces the three original charge pipes (the hoses that carry pressurised air between the turbo and the intercooler, and onward to the engine). Swapping the standard rubber for RacingLine’s reinforced silicone gives you a stiffer, more consistent airflow path that does not balloon, soften or collapse under boost.
Internally, the hoses use stepped joint transitions that port-match to the surrounding hardware. This creates a smoother, more laminar airflow path (air moving in even layers rather than tumbling around), reducing turbulence compared with non-stepped designs. The result is less restriction for the turbo to work against, helping it move a greater volume of air more efficiently.
Why the steel wire helix matters - The two intercooler boost hoses carry hot, pressurised air over longer runs where flex is most likely. RacingLine buries a steel wire helix within the silicone wall, which keeps the hose perfectly round under all conditions. You still get the flexibility needed for fitment and engine movement, but without the wall distortion that robs power and consistency on tuned cars.
