MMX Performance Intercooler - Mini John Cooper Works/JCW GP3 F56

MMX Performance have produced a high-performance intercooler that improves the power and torque output significantly by substantially reducing charge air temperatures from their tube and fin stepped core. In turn it provides almost double the core volume of the OE unit and a frontal area increase of 70%!

FITMENT NOTICE:
Only for B46 and B48 engines. It does not fit in Mini F57 and cars with B48.D engine code. Does not fit LCI models.

The factory intercooler used by the B46/B48 engines has proved to struggle with the demands of higher power. Using a huge tube and fin stepped core, the MMX high performance intercooler provides almost double the core volume of the OE unit and a frontal area around 70% greater than OE, too. That's a significant difference.

The stepped core itself uses internal turbulators to improve its cooling performance and the CFD optimised end tanks assist with maintaining the best possible airflow across the core.

MMX's development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. This has allowed them to achieve increased size without increased lag. Win win!

Despite the large core size, the unit only weighs 9.2kg whilst still providing the best solution possible when power output and low air charge temperatures and minimal pressure drop are required.
