The BC Racing RM Series uses inverted monotube dampers on the front, or on both front and rear depending on the application. It offers many of the same features as the BR Series but with the added advantages of an inverted damper design, making the RM Series better suited to fast-road and track-focused driving.

Inverting the damper reduces unsprung weight, improves steering response, and moves critical damper fluid away from brake and hub heat. This helps prevent fade during hard use, maintains more consistent damping, and increases overall suspension performance.

Why Inverted Dampers?

Reduced unsprung weight: Inverted dampers relocate most of their mass toward the chassis instead of the hub. This helps the suspension react more freely to bumps, improving grip, stability, and ride quality—especially on uneven or bumpy surfaces.

Improved heat management: Inverting the damper moves the oil and gas reservoirs away from brake heat. Lower fluid temperatures mean more consistent damping, reduced fade, and improved handling during extended hard driving or track sessions.

Increased strength and reduced flex: The larger 42mm damper rod and inverted layout offer better resistance to side loading. This helps maintain more stable steering geometry, giving the car more predictable and responsive handling.

Spring Rate Options

The RM Series works well for fast-road and track-day builds. The Recommended spring rate provides a strong baseline for mixed use, combining good body control with acceptable comfort on the road.

Higher spring rates are available for cars running sticky tyres, aero, or heavy chassis modifications. Softer rates may be chosen if the car sees regular road use and comfort is still a consideration.

Options Available

Not all configurations apply to every vehicle.

  • MA Series – Inverted front dampers with camber-adjustable pillowball top mounts; upright rear dampers with aluminium rubber mounts or no rear mounts.
  • MH Series – Inverted front and rear dampers with pillowball top mounts on both ends, or no rear mounts depending on application.
