AIRTEC Turbocharger Muffler Delete Kit - Volkswagen Polo GTI MK6 AW

FITMENT NOTICE:
Volkswagen Polo AW MK6 2.0 GTI (face-lift) with EA888 Gen 4 DNNA/207hp engine – 08/2021 onwards.

The factory equipped turbo muffler is designed to reduce noise from the turbocharger by using two holes cut into the side walls that create chambers. These chambers cause turbulence in the air exiting the turbo which produces back pressure that negatively affects performance and response.

How it works - In standard form, the car’s turbocharger’s outlet is fitted with an internal chamber that works like an exhaust baffle/muffler to purposely disrupt flow and create turbulence, which in-turn reduces harmonic noise. 

The AIRTEC  muffler delete simply replaces this disruptive chamber with a freer-flowing single pipe. Not only does it remove the turbulence, the diameter is also increased as the original part features a 40.5mm diameter at the start and tapers to 51mm. Our direct replacement tapers to a 60mm diameter to match the original boost pipe, which offers a 18% increase over standard and 48% larger overall compared to standard from start to finish. 

The turbo muffler delete includes all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed instructions.
