AIRTEC Stage 2 Carbon Cold Air Induction Kit - Ford Focus RS MK2

Back at last by popular demand is AIRTEC's revised Stage 2 Closed Air Induction System (CAIS) made from real carbon fibre. Now with a new design but the same huge benefits that still make it the best induction kit on the market for the Mk2 Focus RS!

What’s the difference? - The top section was raised and blended to aid air flow to the huge Group A cone filter inside, whilst the right-hand side of the snorkel area was also enlarged and the underside of the snorkel section that joins into the lower section of the filter was made bigger.

AIRTEC's experience from developing and producing their first WRC-inspired Closed Air Induction System (CAIS) for the Focus RS that is proven to dramatically increase power and torque, AIREC embarked on developing a new and improved design finished in lightweight carbon fibre material to help thermal efficiency.

Sealed inside is a huge AIRTEC Motorsport Group-A style cotton air filter that draws fresh air solely from the front intake, ensuring minimal heat soak issues and the lowest possible intake temperatures.

The kit comes complete with high quality Pro Hoses silicone connectors, as well as jubilee clips and all fixings and fittings including detailed instructions for a simple installation.

Overall, the result is a complete kit that offers increased power, improved throttle response, heightened induction noise and a more pleasing look to the engine bay.

Test Results
Rolling road testing showed power levels increased by 5-8bhp compared to the Stage 1 carbon air box.

The power figures only tell half the story, as road testing found a noticeable improvement in the car’s performance and power delivery, whilst the dyno graphs showed the standard air box struggled to keep the power in the higher rev range, but when AIRTEC's new CAIS was fitted, it delivers power smoothly all the way to 6,500prm!

The Induction hose is available in choice of colours. Black, Blue & Red hoses tend to be in stock, other colours may need manufactured which can delay dispatch time.

An optional uprated 80mm alloy induction pipe can be purchased separately (P/N: ATMSFO62) which replaces the factory induction pipe with an increased sized alloy version.
