AIRTEC Oil Cooler Kit - BMW M140i F20/F21

The AIRTEC Oil Cooler Kit is a must have when increasing the cars performance.

FITMENT NOTICE:

• Will not fit xDrive models.
• Fits all BMW M140i F20/F21 models built until 07/01/2018, without GPF/OPF or hot climate auxiliary radiator.
  
• Trimming/cutting of the inner wheel arch liner is required to install this product.
• Not suitable for GPF/OPF, or hot climate cars produced with the second auxiliary radiator in place.
• This is a Motorsport product, and you may notice an increase in engine harmonics through the cabin when fitted. 
• If you’re unsure which model your car is, please physically check the space behind the right-hand side of the bumper when standing in front of the car. All cars will have an auxiliary radiator on the left-hand side behind the bumper, but only GPF/OPF/hot climate cars will have a second auxiliary radiator already in place on the right-hand side.
  

As part of AIRTEC's expanding BMW platform product range, AIRTEC Motorsport is proud to launch their oil cooler kit for the M140i models. Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, AIRTEC have created a comprehensive solution to improving the car’s oil cooling ability for modified M140i owners who struggle to maintain steady oil temperatures on track, or during fast road use.

The challenge - With vast experience in developing uprated oil cooler packages for a variety of modified track and road cars, the challenge with this kit was to integrate a large capacity, external oil cooler neatly behind the available space behind the lower bumper grille area. AIRTEC began with a 3D scan of the car so they could use a CAD program to calculate the most efficient use of space with a perfect fitment. 

As a result, the AIRTEC oil cooler kit utilises all original fixing locations, so no drilling is required to mount the oil cooler. It also features a large scoop that channels a constant flow of cold air in from the front bumper grille and out through a laser cut grille they provide to fit neatly inside the inner wheel arch liner.

In order to provide sufficient air flow required to the oil cooler, you can either choose to trim your original bumper grille to open it up, or you can buy a direct replacement grille from BMW that is already opened up.

This comprehensive package also includes a bespoke AIRTEC Motorsport adapter plate to separate the oil and coolant systems, laser-cut and powder coated mounting brackets, a horn relocation bracket, high-quality braided hose lines with Aerotec fittings as well as all fixtures required to fit, including detailed instructions for a bolt-on installation. 

The improved cooling efficiency and fitment make it an essential modification for all modified M140i models used on track/hard road use.
