Close & Open Ended Wheel Nuts:

Close ended wheel nuts are perfect for use with factory wheel studs, but if using extended wheel studs then it should be noted that the wheel nut can only go so far onto the wheel stud before reaching it's limit. Open ended wheel nuts allow wheel studs to pass through the wheel nuts. If purchasing open ended wheel nuts for use with extended wheel studs, then you should check whether the wheel nut requires the wheel socket to go inside or outside the wheel nut. This is because fouling can occur between the wheel stud and wheel socket if the wheel socket is required to go inside the opened ended wheel nut.

Tuner Style Wheel Nuts:

A good tip if buying wheel bolts or wheel nuts for an aftermarket set of wheels, is to check the diameter of the wheel pocket hole. Some aftermarket wheel brands such as Japan Racing, Team Dynamics & XXR feature small pocket holes, and only the likes of tuner style wheel bolts or tuner wheel nuts will fit. Tuner style wheel bolts & wheel nuts tend to be 20mm in diameter, and can accommodate any aftermarket branded wheel set.

Note: These wheel nut heads are a lot smaller than factory wheel nut heads and have a tapered seated fitment.
