These chambers cause turbulence in the air exiting the turbo which produces back pressure that negatively affects performance and response.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHow it works - In standard form, the car’s turbocharger’s outlet is fitted with an internal chamber that works like an exhaust baffle\/muffler to purposely disrupt flow and create turbulence, which in-turn reduces harmonic noise. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe AIRTEC  muffler delete simply replaces this disruptive chamber with a freer-flowing single pipe. Not only does it remove the turbulence, the diameter is also increased as the original part features a 40.5mm diameter at the start and tapers to 51mm.
